Sending sales or information letters to your clients or prospective clients is a great form of advertisement, but online newsletters need to be structured properly in order to be useful to your audience members. Below are several items that should be considered when creating an online advertisement or newsletter.
1) Consider the demographics of your audience. Are you providing information to a predominately male or female audience? Are you readers young or old?
2) Create attractive images to supplement redundant information. Motivate your readers to continue reading by adding aesthetically pleasing images. The age old saying "Everyone judges a book by it's cover" applies to your online advertisement. If it's pleasing to the eye your much more likely to attract a loyal audience.
3) Provide pertinent information so that your reader will want to respond IMMEDIATELY! If you do not get a an immediate response you may never get a response at all.
4) Understand the concept that there is a thing as too much content. We are in an era where our audience members are overloaded with information on the Internet. Try not to create lengthy newsletters that bore your audience. Provide short, concise information that is to the point to prevent your readers from having to search for something useful.
5) Finally, (and most importantly) make sure that your email list is compiled of valid email addresses that have been collected through a double opt-in, opt-out process. Not only are violations of current SPAM laws an issue but people that do not sign up for your newsletters simply do not want to be bothered. Pride yourself in the fact that you (and your company) are respecting their privacy and the law. People simply don't want SPAM.
Consider the above when creating your online sales and newsletters and
